Where to Invest in Malaga

With over 200 neighbourhood, 12 districts located into 395 km2 of land, Malaga offers a large selection of opportunities to invest. Contact Holox Invest for a local expert to future proofing your property investments through comprehensive local supply/demand research. Here is a selection of some the most attractive areas where to invest:

Historic city centre (Centro Historico)

The most touristic and vibrant part of the city. The centre of a city in full growth is always a guaranteed success in terms of visibility and public affluence. The historic centre of Malaga, after the remodelling of recent years, has improved its functionality and has given more importance to pedestrians than to private vehicles, modifying the urban layout of the centre and adapting it to the styles that predominate in European cities with a higher quality of life.

The pedestrianisation of large streets and avenues has succeeded in revitalising areas that were previously underused. Busy at night and day, the historical centre apartments are in vast majority now used as touristic rentals, causing some problems to local authorities and politicians on how sustainable has become. Also prices per squared metre have rocketed from foreign demand and investments. We see value in this area for touristic rental demand, but we tend to be now cautious about entry prices sustainability. Some apartments are too expensive for its real potential return in today competitive Touristic rental market.

El Limonar

The area of El Limonar is situated next to La Malagueta and before Pedregalejo. It is the area with the highest per capita income in Malaga and one of the most exclusive.

This level of income and standard of living can be perceived as soon as you walk through the neighbourhood, as villas and detached houses predominate, a real luxury in a city with such a large population and so much tourism as Malaga.

If you wish to invest in the area of El Limonar you must take into account that it is one of the most expensive areas of the city of Malaga.

In this section we would like to highlight the future El Mayorazgo Shopping Centre, which will open its doors next to the Colinas del Limonar development. La Malagueta

La Malagueta is one of the most characteristic areas of Malaga. Located at the foot of the Alcazaba, right next to the beach the busy Malaga port and just next to the Plaza de Toros, this area welcomes a large number of tourists and wealthy local residents throughout the year.

Despite being one of the most expensive areas of the city, it is very popular with the public and has good connections with the rest of the city by public transport.

Teatinos

The neighbourhood of Teatinos is one of the most important urban and growth engines of the city. Since its beginnings, the neighbourhood has not stopped growing and has welcomed large investments in infrastructures, commercial and residential areas.

Due to the proximity of most of the faculties of the University of Malaga, the Teatinos district is a great opportunity for real estate investment is student accommodations/rentals and for investment in commercial and long let premises aimed at both young people and high standing.

Avenida del Pacifico

Situated parallel to the Misericordia beach, Avenida Pacífico has an extension of several kilometres, where there are numerous housing areas, parks, gardens, sports areas, restaurants and public facilities.

All this means that new infrastructures is constantly being built along this avenue, making it one of the busiest and most sought-after areas of the city. There is a strong aim to regenerate the area as the next luxury spot in Malaga which offer plenty of value for revaluation purposes.

Victoria/El Ejido

A very popular área just next to the historical centre and up the Gibralfaro mountain. Offers plenty of value for its proximity to the historical centre as a touristic spot, but also recommended for student rentals investments for its location just next to three busy university faculties.
